Algoma Steel is committed to the health and well-being of everyone at our workplace.
Since the start of the pandemic, we have implemented a robust program to protect the health of everyone onsite and prevent the spread of COVID-19. This included, but was not limited to, physical distancing protocols, heightened hygiene and sanitation practices, a site-wide mask policy, visitor and travel restrictions, and protocols for employees and contractor personnel who fall under a self-isolation scenario.
We introduced an Employee Hotline where employees can call with any questions or concerns they may have and continue to encourage employees and their families to avail themselves of the Employee and Family Assistance Program and the additional mental health supports that we have introduced.
Currently, all employees, contractors, and visitors are required to attest their COVID health to come on Algoma Steel property.
We continue to monitor developments and adjust our response accordingly.
