Without compromise, Algoma Steel is committed to the health and safety of its employees and to the safety of all people contracted to work at Algoma Steel. To this end, the Company employs a cooperative Joint Health and Safety System to provide a healthy and safe workplace. This process utilizes joint health and safety committees to develop safety procedures, investigate incidents and injuries, and monitor health and safety at all levels of the organization.

Beyond our goal of zero injuries, the Algoma Steel team is focused on hazard resolution and injury prevention. We deploy technology in our safety management system to provide transparent, real-time access to safety data and analysis that drives the delivery of a full range of programs tied to lead indicators.
